what is the purpose of our life?
Reply
Shri aca, Namaskar,
This is incredible but true that life has really no purpose.
The scientists say this earth came into existence before 350 million years. (of course, the theories of the modern science change without notice). If what they say is true, one can imagine as to how many people had taken birth and died. What was the purpose of their living? We are aware of the history of few thousand years. What was done by the people born earlier is not recorded and not known. Even if it is known, what is the use of it for the present living people? How it will be valued after a million year, whatever we are doing today?
The people who do not run after material life for happiness and think intensively about the purpose of life, come to understand that their role is only of a "witness" to the happening in the world. Any attempt to get involved in the happenings of the world put them in sorrows and miseries. The people who understand principles of self realization also understand what is birth and what is death. They keep themselves away from material pursuit, they enjoy the world without taking part in the activities of the world, (Ten Tyakten Bhunjitha - Ishavasya Upanishada), they do not believe in the birth and death at all and one day throwing the burden of the body they take rest in the "self" happily.
Thank you,
Swami Aniljee

Question : Nallini Ipoh.Perak Malaysia F/45 7th May 2009
Have swamiji seen god?
What happens to people who have vision of Lord Krsna and still continue to live a normal life?
Reply
Mrs. Nallini,
Namaskar,
It is beyond doubt that I have seen God. Since the God is formless God is to be experienced. Experiencing God is seeing God. God is experienced every second and every minute by the saints. Those who desire to see God have to become saint first. To become saint one has to renounce the world and live for others, and one has to surrender to knowledgeable Guru and serve Guru like a slave of Guru. People want to see God keeping their pursuit for happiness in material life. They are deprived of the chance to see God in present life, nor they get happiness in this world.
People having vision of Krishna are Jeevan Mukta (please read the article). They live in this world like a drop of water on the leave of a lotus plant. People think they live a normal life like others, and that is true. But people do not understand that the mind of a person with vision of Krishna is absent in the material life and is always conentrated on the inner self; i.e. a true God.
Thank you
Swami Aniljee

3. Basically while praying God your mind must be thoughtless.
4. If you do not avoid the recurrance of the sinful acts for which you have repented, you will be punished by God.
