to understand God within.
Hinduism say one must understand the Knowledge of God from

our books say that in Treta yuga rthe ramayan was written byValmiki.
that was millions of years as after that came Dwapar yug and Kaliyug has crossed over 5000 years. so when actually was the ramayan writen by valmiki? any idea in years?

This was always a disputed matter and the histrorians have different opinions.
In my opinion it is better for a "seeker" to ignore the history and concentrate on the Japa of Prabhu Ramchandra for the knowledge and emancipation.
