Prayers Page 11
1. The friend could see lord Ganesha despite his closed eyes. What could have been seen by a person belonging to other religion? Does not this prove that whatever you see when your eyes are closed, is a thought in your mind?
2.If the pregnancies would have been terminated by the prayers to God, there would have been no need of hospitals.
3.If the friend had a faith that pregnancies are terminated by prayers to God, he would have been encouraged to do the immoral deeds.
4.Imagine that the friend had made 10 girls pregnant, immorally. Would God have terminated all the ten pregnancies by the impact of prayers?
5.The important question is was the illicit relations between the friend and his love stopped after blessings of God to terminate pregnancy?
These entire questions don’t favor the logical conclusion that God answers the prayers. God is no way related to good or bad you do. You are liable to pay the cost or reap the better results of your bad or good deeds respectively, in this world of God. The God who occupies you completely and create the world in your mind is not worried for how you misuse your senses.
If anybody really want to pray God, at least for his satisfaction, following is the Best prayer in the world.
BLESS US WITH KNOWLEDGE, O LORD!
(Prayer originally written in Hindi by
Swami Aniljee, translated by Abhinay Patekar)
Bless us with knowledge, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge!
We offer our propitiation,
Which is our privilege.
Help us to know ourselves, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge;
Help us to know ourselves, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge!
You mesmerize us
By pervading every single body;
Yet you have kept us away from you,
By hiding your divine identity.
We now plead for oneness with you, O Lord,
We now plead for oneness.
Help us to know ourselves, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge!
In this nescient World,
Where everyone is engaged in your search;
We cannot focus on anything,
As your glimpse is our only thirst.
We now wish to see you, O Lord,
We now wish to see you.
Help us to know ourselves, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge!
This entire World is illusory,
We now have come to know.
Yet we cannot detach ourselves from it,
Which causes us only sorrow!
Please grant us emancipation, O Lord,
Please grant us emancipation.
Help us to know ourselves, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge!
You exist internally, O Lord,
You exist externally;
Unveil the secrets of truth from deception
So we can see you clearly, O Lord,
So we can see you clearly.
Help us to know ourselves, O Lord,
Bless us with knowledge!
My dear brothers and sisters, while concluding this brief article on the big topic of “Prayer” the author begs pardon of the people who may have become inadvertently unhappy. As promised by this author, none of the word written by him could be against any person, any faith or religion. Because, the Guru of the present author has taught him, “Look at the world in the same way as you look in the mirror. The world and the people of the world are the images of your thoughts. Never blame anybody, never hate anybody. It is as bad as hating yourself. Make your mind so strong that you could tolerate any kind of insult and injustice to you or your family or community. It is a sign of weakness to react to the words of others.”
Thank you for reading the thoughts of the author.
