He wanted to become millionaire. He wanted all pleasures of life like any other human being would desire. But he was unfortunate. He had to incur heavy cost for each moment of pleasure. He faced series of failures to find only one moment of success, but in vain. He thought sometimes that he should end life. He thought Guru would stop his misfortune. He gave in to Guru but to ruin himself materially. His last failure in life was disastrous and he found himself socially dead. Social death gave him insight. He came to know that success and failures were high and low tides. All the good and bad in life were like inner currents in the ocean. Everything was water. In reality nothing had taken place in life. Everything was there, where it should have been. His false sense of attachment was the root cause of the sufferings. With the new vision given by Guru he searched God. He searched ultimate truth when he had nothing left with him of his own. He found to his dismay that he was him-”self” whom he was restlessly searching. He himself was a treasure of pleasure, not the world.
He was earning and learning when he found a job at the age of 18 in an American company MWK international Inc. (Seattle), who had contract work in Madhya Pradesh. (India). He then changed lot of jobs for better salary and ultimately joined a Nationalized Bank. He used to give all the money to his father and mother. He lost his father in 1971. He married at the age of 24 with Mangala a girl from an orthodox family, who remained a very dutiful woman till Anil renounced the material life. Anil had three children, two daughters and a son. One of his daughters is settled in US since last 10 years and the younger daughter is settled in UK. His son is a small businessman.
Anil being a voracious reader had lot of knowledge from all fields of life but he could not study further after graduation due to family burden. Since very childhood he was fond of meeting the saints. He had to give up his bank manager's job in 1982 and since then started his most unfortunate days of life. In every business he started after leaving a job, he was never successful. Initially, he would get the great success and would earn lot of money, but soon he would be put to some unforeseen troubles and would have to close the business incurring lot of debts. He would sometimes earn literally millions and would be a pauper within short time. Tensions, tortures, agonies, insults, court cases, defamations etc. became his life. He used to worship God for more than four hours a day but he could not skip misfortunes. Like other Hindu religious people, Anil was in search of Guru and he found one at Indore, a district place in Madhya Pradesh. He surrendered to Hon. Nana Mahararaj Taranekar in the year 1980. After that, his progress in the spiritual field increased greatly, but his misfortunes never stopped. In the year 1992 he suddenly met another Guru, Hon. Khapti Maharaj. This Guru changed his life completely. Khapti Baba gave him the direct knowledge of God and made Anil his nearest and dearest disciple. Since 1998, Anil started living an ascetic life but had not given up home. He gradually started withdrawing himself from the business life, but God did not leave him without giving a last test. In 2003 he faced great calamities of life, like big business failure and naturally all the evils that are faced by a heavily indebted person. Hon. Khapti Maharaj died in the year 2003 and before that he declared Anil as his successor. Even after the written orders of Hon. Khapti Maharaj to allow Anil to continue the work left by him and to occupy his seat, the other jealous disciples did not agree to accept Anil as the successor. Anil however, wanted to obey his Guru even after his death and had taken up the work of spreading the thoughts of Hon. Khapti Maharaj.
In the year 2004 Anil was named as Swami Aniljee by his disciples. He initiated formation of an organization named ?Society for Understanding God Within and Around You? (short form ?Sugway). Swami Aniljee continued the work of his Guru as per his orders. He does not have many contacts with his wife and children, and he lives a lonely life for the people who trust him. He has great qualities of a saint which are described by his disciples in many articles and in many books.
Every person who is a disciple of some or the other Guru is duty bound to praise his Guru whether right or wrong. Some readers of this introductory write up might think that I am praising Hon. Swami Aniljee, because he is my Guru. But this is not correct. I am not a disciple of Swami Aniljee, though he is more than a God for me. This not impossible that a few more Jnan Gurus would be there in the world who are self realized. However, this is a most important thing to be noted that Swami Aniljee is an authenticated Guru from the traditions of Nirgurna Nirakar Gurus. His Grand Guru Hon. Khateshwar Maharaj and Guru Khapti Mahraj were extremely powerful Gurus who blessed Swami Aniljee. Nirguna Nirakar means experience of God without any shape and without any quality or qualification. Thousands of present Gurus can't even think of Nirguna Nirakar God. The Gurus who teach different Yogas, shastras (scriptures), or devotion-prayers to public are Gurus like tutors. They do not pass the stringent tests of Vedas/ Upanishadas. In fact, ?Gu ?and ? Ru? are the two words which denote, ?Gunatit? and ?Rpatit? sense of Guru. Gunatit and Rpatit mean Nirgun Nirakar. So, Guru is necessarily a person who experiences the presence of God without any form or without any kind of manifestation. Though, the word ?Guru? is in vogue in different meaning in the present world, it is difficult to understand the true meaning of the word ?Guru?.
With whatever, the little knowledge I have learnt from Swami Aniljee, I have dared to write about him here. Lastly, I will concede that I have yet not understood the great personality of Swami Aniljee. At least, for me, for the reasons stated above, Swami Aniljee is the most knowledgeable Guru of the present world, continuing the tradition of the greatest Gurus of India. He being Jnan Guru he is naturally not opposed to any kind of religion, sect or the way of worshiping God. Many persons are there in his disciples who belong to different religions. Swami Aniljee would never ask them to convert to Hinduism. Rather, Swami Aniljee would not inquire about their religions. He would only advise to those people who trust him, obey him, follow him and accept him as Guru. He is not at all bothered about anybody agrees with him or not. It is not his business. He will never write in his books like, ?You do this? and ?You do that?. He understands the reasons behind the deeds of all the people and their Karma and never blames them. Swami Aniljee, I have never seen blaming anybody or calling anybody ?wrong?. He would only state what is ?right? in his understanding, but he would never insist others to follow him.
It is an great opportunity for the people that Swami Aniljee is contributing his thoughts to this website. I request the readers at least to read his thoughts, because understanding his thoughts needs lot of attentiveness. Thank you.
